It is not an accident that you’re here…
so I congratulate you as you explore my website and the services that I offer. My motivation is to inspire and be there for you.
You see, before I turned 10, I had experienced rejection, abandonment, betrayal, verbal, sexual and physical abuse, and emotional trauma because my parents separated/divorced when I was a toddler. I lived in fear throughout my childhood as deprivation marked most of my days. I became very angry and self-defensive. All these continued into my teenage and young adult years. I became self-conscious with low self-esteem, bitter and vengeful as I experienced further emotional abuse, discrimination, bereavement and confusion. I lost all confidence and self-worth. I was a mess. I had no one to talk to, and no one really cared. I was alone and lonely. So I thought!
On the other hand, I had dreams…
Lots of dreams and fantasies as I hid all my pain by either reading or sleeping. I read and slept as a way of escaping and protecting myself!
In the course of reading so many books, I discovered another world, and that world had to be crafted by no one else but me, and I had to make a choice. That journey has led me to where I am today. As a two-time immigrant (first to the U.K. and then to Canada), I have experienced further mental and emotional abuse in the form of harassment, discrimination, persecution and deprivation by people who never knew and may never know my story. By this time, however, I had become more confident and focused. I had acquired some success tools and skills. I had become more self-aware, resilient and determined. I do not take “No” for an answer now. I know who I am.
